Forum Title: What's the appropriate way to finish drywall on these stairs?
Image of Stairs: http://imgur.com/a/J7dBo I'm installing drywall on a caseless stair design. We're trying to get the stair treads and risers to meet the drywall seamlessly and without trim or casing. In order to accomplish this, it seems like tear away bead is the best bet. However, this is a delicate area, since there's bound to be vibrations from foot traffic on the steps, which could cause mud cracking. We really want the drywall to be as problem free as possible. **Questions** - Is tear away bead the recommended way to finish the drywall in this use case? - If tear away bead isn't recommended, what would you recommend? - Would J bead be more appropriate? - Would you do anything above and beyond, to make this drywall extra resilient.
